- Seriously, though, it sounds like you might have an IRQ
- conflict in the machine. Make sure that you have the modem
- configured to use a different COM port (and IRQ) than, for
- example, the mouse.

- experiences with Creative Labs tech support, I'd recommend
- returning the modem and getting something different if that's
- still an option. This is true even if the current problem is just
- a configuration problem -- because if it's not, getting any help
- out of Creative Labs will be like talking to a wall. You can try
- until the cows come home, but getting a response is unlikely.
